Flexible Learning for Students Who Need Something Different
The Blossom Program was created for families who know their child needs a different kind of learning environment.
Some children need smaller groups. Some need more movement. Some need more time, more challenge, more creativity, more patience, or simply more room to be understood as an individual. Some families are looking for a full school-day option, while others are homeschooling and want support, enrichment, community, or supplemental instruction without giving up the flexibility they value.
At Blossom, we believe every child is an individual and deserves an education to match.
That belief guides everything we do.
Our program is built to offer structure without rigidity, support without shame, and flexibility without losing purpose. Students are given opportunities to build academic skills, explore their interests, develop confidence, and connect with others in a smaller, more personal setting.
Our Programs
Rooted Learning is our morning academic program, designed for families who want strong core instruction in a smaller, more supportive learning environment.
This option focuses on helping students build the academic roots they need while still allowing families flexibility in the rest of their day. Some students do best with a shorter academic schedule. Some families are homeschooling and want structured support in core subjects. Some children need a smaller setting where teachers can slow down, adjust, explain things differently, or offer more individualized attention. Rooted Learning was created to meet those needs with purpose, flexibility, and care.
Each day begins with movement. We believe students learn better when their bodies and brains have time to wake up, regulate, and prepare for the day. Movement helps students release energy, build focus, improve readiness, and transition into learning in a way that feels more natural. For many children, especially those who struggle in traditional classrooms, beginning the day with movement can make a meaningful difference in how they engage with academics.
After movement, students move into core academic instruction using Blossom Vocabulary. These subject names help us frame learning in a way that feels connected, meaningful, and student-centered. While our students still build real academic skills, we use language that reflects the purpose behind the work, not just the traditional subject label.
Figuring Figures is our math-focused subject. Students work on number sense, problem-solving, patterns, logic, computation, measurement, and real-world application. The goal is not just to memorize procedures, but to understand how numbers work and how math connects to everyday life.
Expression & Story supports reading, writing, communication, vocabulary, storytelling, grammar, comprehension, and language development. Students learn how to understand what they read, express what they think, and communicate their ideas with growing confidence.
Discovery & Exploration encourages curiosity through science, observation, experiments, research, hands-on investigation, and asking good questions. Students learn to explore the world around them, test ideas, notice patterns, and think like investigators.
Maps & Cultures introduces students to geography, communities, world cultures, traditions, environments, and the ways people live, move, create, and connect. This subject helps students better understand the wider world and their place within it.
Echoes & Origins helps students explore history, timelines, civilizations, cause and effect, historical events, and the stories that shaped the world we live in today. Students learn that history is not just a list of dates, but a collection of people, choices, consequences, and lasting impact.
Citizenship focuses on community, responsibility, cooperation, leadership, rights, problem-solving, and how we participate in the world around us. Students explore what it means to be part of a group, a community, and a larger society.
Inner Work gives students time to build self-awareness, emotional regulation, reflection, confidence, resilience, and personal growth. We believe learning is not only academic. Students also need tools for understanding themselves, managing challenges, and growing as whole people.
Rooted Learning may be a good fit for families who want:
Focused morning academic instruction
A smaller and more flexible learning environment
Core subject support without a full-day commitment
A part-time option for homeschool families
Project-based and hands-on learning
A calmer approach to academics
Teachers who can adjust to student needs
A learning environment that respects the whole child
This option gives students meaningful academic structure without requiring them to be in a full-day program. It can work well for homeschool families who want help with core subjects, students transitioning out of traditional school, or children who benefit from a shorter, more focused academic day.
Rooted Learning is not about rushing students through a checklist. It is about helping them strengthen their foundation, build confidence, and grow from the roots up.
The Full-Day Blossom Program is our most complete school-day option and gives students the full Blossom experience from morning through afternoon.
This option is designed for families who want more than a traditional classroom model. Full-day students receive a balanced day that includes academic instruction, movement, guided support, hands-on learning, enrichment, creativity, practical skills, and meaningful social connection. Instead of separating academics from the rest of a child’s development, the full-day program allows students to grow as whole people: intellectually, emotionally, socially, creatively, and personally.
Each day begins with movement. We believe students learn better when their bodies and brains have time to wake up, regulate, and prepare for the day. Movement helps students release energy, build focus, and transition into learning in a way that feels natural and supportive.
After movement, students participate in Rooted Learning, our morning academic program. During this time, students work through core subjects using Blossom Vocabulary, including Figuring Figures, Expression & Story, Discovery & Exploration, Maps & Cultures, Echoes & Origins, Citizenship, and Inner Work. These subjects help students build strong academic foundations while also encouraging curiosity, communication, problem-solving, reflection, and real-world understanding.
After lunch, full-day students participate in Guided Growth from 1:00–1:45 PM. This is a daily support block for core-subject practice, tutoring, review, extra help, and skill-building. Guided Growth gives students time to ask questions, strengthen skills, complete guided practice, or stretch into more challenging work with teacher support. It is built into the day so support feels normal, respectful, and accessible, not like a punishment or label.
From 2:00–4:00 PM, students participate in Afternoon Enrichment. Enrichment classes give students opportunities to explore creative, practical, physical, and interest-based learning beyond the core curriculum. Depending on the season, students may participate in classes such as Kid Biz, Book Club, LEGO, Spanish, Dance / Movement, Gift Craft Club, Theater, Outdoor Cooking, Gardening, Music, Game Design, Computer Classes, Life Skills & Social Club, and Performing Arts.
The full-day option gives students a consistent rhythm and a strong sense of belonging. They have time to settle in, learn deeply, receive help, build friendships, explore new interests, and practice independence. Because our environment is smaller and more flexible, teachers are able to know students as individuals and adjust support based on what each child needs.
The Full-Day Blossom Program may be a good fit for families who want:
A complete school-day experience
A smaller and more flexible learning environment
Strong academic instruction in the morning
Built-in support and tutoring after lunch
Creative and hands-on enrichment opportunities
Movement, practical skills, and project-based learning
Consistent peer connection and community
A school setting that sees the whole child, not just test scores or grade levels
Full-day students receive the strongest blend of academics, support, enrichment, creativity, and community. This option is ideal for families who want their child to be part of The Blossom Program for the full daily rhythm, from core learning to guided practice to afternoon exploration.
At Blossom, the full day is not about keeping students busy. It is about giving them time and space to grow.
Afternoon Enrichment was created for homeschool families, part-time learners, and students who need opportunities for support, creativity, social connection, and hands-on learning without committing to a full school-day schedule.
This option gives families a flexible way to become part of The Blossom Program while still maintaining the rhythm that works best for them at home. Some families may already have a strong homeschool routine in place but want access to group classes, peer interaction, project-based learning, or specialty subjects. Others may be looking for supplemental instruction, practical skill-building, or a gentle bridge into a smaller learning community. Afternoon Enrichment was designed to meet those needs in a way that feels welcoming, useful, and intentional.
Students join us at 1:00 PM and begin the afternoon with Guided Growth from 1:00–1:45 PM. Guided Growth is our daily support block for core-subject practice, tutoring, review, extra help, and skill-building. During this time, students may receive teacher support in areas such as math, reading, writing, project work, organization, or study skills. Some students may use this time to strengthen foundational skills, while others may use it to stretch into more challenging work. The goal is to provide support without shame and growth without pressure.
From 2:00–4:00 PM, students participate in one enrichment class each school day. These classes are designed to expand learning beyond traditional academics and give students access to creative, practical, physical, and social experiences that may be difficult to recreate at home every week. Enrichment classes allow students to explore interests, build confidence, collaborate with others, try new skills, and discover what excites them.
For Fall 2026, our Afternoon Enrichment schedule includes two seasonal sessions.
August, September, and October
Monday: Kid Biz
Tuesday: Book Club
Wednesday: LEGO
Thursday: Spanish 1
Friday: Dance / Movement
November and December
Monday: Gift Craft Club
Tuesday: Spanish 1
Wednesday: Theater 1
Thursday: Outdoor Cooking
Friday: Dance / Movement
This structure gives students consistency while still allowing the enrichment offerings to change throughout the year. Each school day has a clear focus, so families know what to expect and students can settle into a predictable rhythm. At the same time, the seasonal format keeps the program fresh and gives students the chance to experience a variety of subjects over time.
Afternoon Enrichment may be a good fit for families who want:
Supplemental academic support
Creative and hands-on classes
Consistent peer connection
A part-time learning option
A supportive environment outside the home
Practical life skills and project-based learning
Movement, performance, creativity, and collaboration
A flexible way to experience The Blossom Program
This option is especially helpful for homeschool families who want their children to have meaningful social time without giving up the freedom and flexibility of homeschooling. Students are able to join a consistent learning community, build relationships, participate in group activities, and receive teacher support while still keeping the rest of their day open.
Afternoon Enrichment is not just an add-on or afterthought. It is an intentional part of The Blossom Program, designed to help students grow in confidence, curiosity, independence, creativity, and connection.
At Blossom, enrichment is not about filling time. It is about helping students discover new parts of themselves.
